Unfortunately, disagreements can arise between parties relating to construction, renovation and real estate projects. With an overburdened legal system, court action or litigation is being strongly discouraged in favour of Dispute Resolution or mediation.

Dispute Resolution is a process for resolving disputes by which an independent mediator assists the parties in reaching a mutually satisfactory settlement. The mediator's knowledge in related technical issues can often be extremely beneficial. 

The mediator, or "neutral" is a completely impartial and unbiased third party. She or he is able to look at all of the facts and data, and prepare a realistic view of what results could be achieved.

In most cases Dispute Resolution allows parties to reach an acceptable agreement without the high cost of litigation. Even in a Small Claims Court case, both parties can face significant costs and lost time.
